Film Exhibitions The admission of children must be restricted as follows: 1) Where the film being exhibited has been classified by a body designated under section 4 of the Video Recordings Act 1984, admission of children ie. persons under 18 is restricted in accordance with any recommendation made by that body. 2) Where the film being exhibited has been classified by the licensing authority itself, the admission of children ie. persons under 18 is restricted in accordance with any recommendation made by the licensing authority.
Any individual employed to carry out a security activity must be licensed by the Security Industry Authority.
Prevention of Crime and Disorder (1) On occasions when individuals are used to carry out security activities, such as door supervision, the holder of the premises licence/club registration certificate will ensure that: (a) all security personnel wear a name badge as identification; (b) each person employed to carry out security activities carries proof of his/her registration with the Security Industry Authority. (c) when supervisors are required to undertake body searches, at least one female supervisor is available to undertake the searches of female customers. (2) The holder of the premises licence will ensure that: (a) suitable notices are displayed warning customers of the prevalence of crime which may target them; (b) suitable notices are displayed advising customers of the issue of drink spiking; (c) the content of all such notices is in accordance with recommendations from the Dorset Police crime prevention officer; Public Safety (3) The holder of the premises licence will ensure that: (a) when disabled people are present on the premises, there are adequate arrangements to enable their safe evacuation in the event of an emergency; (b) any disabled people on the premises are made aware of those arrangements. (4) The holder of the premises licence will ensure that all escape routes are kept unobstructed, free of trip` hazards and are clearly identified. (5) The holder of the premises licence will ensure that: (a) all safety checks are carried out before the admission of the public to the premises; (b) a record of all safety checks, tests, examinations, fire drills and / or accidents are kept in a Log Book. (6) The holder of the premises licence will ensure that: (a) the capacity limit of 200 imposed under this licence/certificate is not exceeded at any time; (b) arrangements exist to ensure that an appropriate member of staff with day to day responsibility for running the premises, is aware of the number of people on the premises at any time; (c) the number of persons on the premises is provided to any authorised person when requested. (7) The holder of the premises licence will ensure that: (a) notices detailing the actions to be taken in the event of fire or other emergencies are prominently displayed; (b) all such notices are protected from damage and deterioration. (8) The holder of the premises licence will ensure that all fire-fighting equipment on the premises is serviced and maintained so as to be available for use at any time. (9) The holder of the premises licence will ensure that access to the premises for emergency vehicles is kept clear and free from obstruction. (10) The holder of the premises licence will ensure that adequate and appropriate supplies of first aid equipment and materials are available, taking into account the capacity of the premises. (11) The holder of the premises licence will ensure that health and safety risk assessments for various activities will be in place and regularly reviewed. Prevention of Public Nuisance (12) The holder of the premises licence will ensure that: (a) all external doors and windows are kept closed, other than for access and egress; (b) internal doors are kept closed in all rooms when events involving amplified music or speech are taking place; (13) The holder of the premises licence will ensure that prominent and clear notices / instructions are displayed at all relevant exit points instructing customers / staff to respect the needs of local residents and not to cause unnecessary noise when they leave the premises. Protection of Children from Harm (14) The holder of the premises licence will ensure that: (a) the admission of children is restricted in accordance with the following recommendations: U Universal. Suitable for audiences aged 4 years and over; PG Parental Guidance. Some scenes may be unsuitable for young children; 12A passed only for viewing by persons aged 12 years or older or persons younger than 12 when accompanied by an adult; 15 passed only for viewing by persons aged 15 or over; 18 passed only for viewing by persons aged 18 or over. (b) where the film being exhibited has been passed by the British Board of Film Classification, a reproduction of the certificate is to be shown on the screen for at least 5 seconds in such a manner as to be easily readable by all persons in the auditorium; (c) where the film exhibition includes a trailer advertising a film, a copy of the statement approved by the British Board of Film Classification is to be exhibited on screen.; (15) The holder of the premises licence obtain or check CRB certificates for all persons responsible for childrens activities on the premises, or the children will be under the supervision of their parents or guardians. If alcohol is available (not for sale) at any function, proof of age will be requested. Gambling, drug taking and dealing will be actively discouraged. Limitations or exclusions will be made when certain activities inappropriate to children are taking place.
