Additional Conditions

ANNEX 1 - MANDATORY CONDITIONS

Sale of Alcohol

1)              No supply of alcohol may be made under the premises licence:

              a) at a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the premises licence; or
              b) at a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or his/her personal licence is suspended.

2)              Every supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence.

3)              (1) The premises licence holder or club premises certificate holder shall ensure that an age verification policy applies to the premises in relation to the sale or supply of alcohol.
              (2) The policy must require individuals who appear to the responsible person to be under 18 years of age (or such older age as may be specified in the policy) to produce on request, before being served alcohol, identification bearing their photograph, date of birth and a holographic mark.
ANNEX 2 - CONDITIONS CONSISTENT WITH THE OPERATING SCHEDULE

General

(1)              The holder of the premises licence will ensure that:
              (a)              All staff to be trained prior to commencing work at the premises.
              (b)              The above training to be refreshed with each member of staff at least annually.
              (C)              Written records to be kept of all training carried out in accordance with the above conditions.

Prevention of Crime and Disorder

(2)              The holder of the premises licence will ensure that:
(a)              a suitable CCTV system is installed at the premises;
(b)              all recordings are kept for 30 days.

(3)              The holder of the premises licence will ensure that all spirits are displayed behind the counter.

Protection of Children from Harm

(4)              The premises shall operate a 'Challenge-21' policy such that any customer who appears under the age of 21 shall be asked to produce identification when attempting to purchase alcohol. Only passports, photograph driving licences and cards bearing the PASS logo to be accepted as proof of age.

(5)              The holder of the premises licence will ensure that notices are displayed at the entrance to the premises, inside the premises and at the point of sale indicating that customers who appear under the age of 21 will not be allowed to purchase alcohol except on the production of identification as above.
