Additional Conditions
Prevention of Crime and Disorder 1) All events will be adequately staffed and monitored by English Heritage staff. In addition during summer theatre events, front of house staff will be supplied by the relevant theatre company. If large numbers of people are expected to attend and /or the event includes the use of black powder/pyrotechnics the local police will be informed. Public Safety 2) The holder of the premises licence will ensure that: (a) all safety checks are carried out before the admission of the public to the premises; (b) all events are covered by written risk assessments; (c) all electrical equipment must have current PAT test certification 3) The holder of the premises licence will ensure that at least one qualified first aider will be on duty during all events and where the need arises (ie. during battle re-enactments) and additional first aid cover will be contracted via St Johns Ambulance Service or the Red Cross. Prevention of Public Nuisance 4) The holder of the premises licence will ensure that where events happen in the evening and include music, either live or recorded, noise levels will be restricted so as to cause no disturbance to local residents. Protection of Children from Harm 5) The holder of the premises licence will ensure that: (a) all children must be accompanied by an adult when on site; (b) staff are aware of the English Heritage written policy on child welfare. 6) The holder of the premises licence will ensure that: (a) the admission of children is restricted in accordance with the following recommendations: U Universal. Suitable for audiences aged 4 years and over; PG Parental Guidance. Some scenes may be unsuitable for young children; 12A passed only for viewing by persons aged 12 years or older or persons younger than 12 when accompanied by an adult; 15 passed only for viewing by persons aged 15 or over; 18 passed only for viewing by persons aged 18 or over. (b) where the film being exhibited has been passed by the British Board of Film Classification, a reproduction of the certificate is to be shown on the screen for at least 5 seconds in such a manner as to be easily readable by all persons in the auditorium; (c) where the film exhibition includes a trailer advertising a film, a copy of the statement approved by the British Board of Film Classification is to be exhibited on screen.

Film Exhibitions The admission of children must be restricted as follows: 1) Where the film being exhibited has been classified by a body designated under section 4 of the Video Recordings Act 1984, admission of children ie. persons under 18 is restricted in accordance with any recommendation made by that body. 2) Where the film being exhibited has been classified by the licensing authority itself, the admission of children ie. persons under 18 is restricted in accordance with any recommendation made by the licensing authority.
1) No supply of alcohol may be made under the premises licence: a) at a time when there is no designated premises supervisor in respect of the premises licence; or b) at a time when the designated premises supervisor does not hold a personal licence or his/her personal licence is suspended. 2) Every supply of alcohol under the premises licence must be made or authorised by a person who holds a personal licence.
